My name is Duaa. I am 32 years old, a widow, and the mother of three children: Musab, Mohammed, and Khokha. I live in Gaza with my elderly mother, who is 73 years old.

The war changed our lives completely. We lost our safe home, our source of income, and any sense of stability. Every day has become a new struggle for survival as I try to provide the most basic necessities for my children and my elderly mother.

I am the sole caregiver for:

💣 What Happened to Me?

During the war, I suffered severe third-degree burns that changed my life forever. I continue to endure constant pain and the long-term effects of these injuries.

I also lost my husband, leaving me to carry the responsibility of raising my three children and caring for my elderly mother alone, while facing the daily fear of not being able to provide for their basic needs.

I urgently need reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries, as well as laser treatment for my burns. Unfortunately, the specialized care I need is not available in Gaza, so I dream of traveling abroad to continue my treatment and regain enough health to care for my family.

In addition, every four days I need injections, medications, ointments, creams, and moisturizers that cost approximately $200, an amount far beyond my financial means.

Every day I try to stay strong for my family, but the physical pain, emotional burden, and constant fear of the future have become more than I can bear alone.
