My name is Sami, a 21-year-old young man from Gaza.

Like many young people, I had dreams, ambitions, and plans for the future. I had just begun my university journey, hoping to build a better life for myself and my family.

But everything changed overnight.

🕊️ During our displacement, my father was shot and killed by the occupation forces. Losing him was the most painful moment of my life.

🤕 My mother was also injured during the war. She was already struggling with illness and now requires ongoing medical treatment and care.

👭 Today, only my mother, my two sisters, and I remain together.

At an age when I should have been focusing on my studies, I suddenly became the sole provider, protector, and caretaker of my family.

🏚️ Our home was destroyed during the war and reduced to rubble. We lost not only our shelter, but also the memories and security that once filled it.

Now we are displaced, trying to survive while carrying grief, loss, and responsibilities that no young person should have to bear alone.
