Iman and Her Eight Children Seek Safe Hope

My name is Iman, a mother of eight from Gaza, and I am writing with a hopeful heart despite the losses we have faced. On a day that altered our lives, my children were injured at school, and since then we have lost our home and most of what we owned. What remains are my eight children and a mother’s resolve to protect them, even when the weight of every day feels heavy. 💔

My husband is physically injured and disabled, unable to work, which means I carry the responsibility of providing for us with strength I sometimes fear I do not have. We are currently living in a tent and paying $300 per month in rent, while we struggle to secure enough food and clean water. There are moments when I stand with my children, watching them wait for even a small bite to ease their hunger, and I wish I could do more. 🙏
