I am raising funds for Raghad Khaled, a young woman from Gaza, whose determination and academic excellence endured through famine, loss, and displacement. Studying under unimaginable conditions, Raghad refused to let her education be taken from her.
Despite everything, she achieved an outstanding 95.85% high school average, a testament to her discipline, resilience, and commitment to her dream of becoming a doctor.

This campaign exists to help her take the next vital step: enrolling in medical school.
The £5,000 raised will go directly toward her tuition fees, allowing her to begin the journey she has worked so hard for.

Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated in these difficult times, and if you are unable to donate, a prayer for Raghad and her family will mean a great deal.

Please read Raghad's story in her own words.

"My name is Raghad Khaled, from Gaza.
Gaza—the place that has come to mean war, hunger, fear, lack of safety, and displacement.
I have lived through all of that, and the journey has never been easy.

In the midst of darkness, I studied by candlelight while the world around me was collapsing.
For long nights, I stayed awake alone, resisting exhaustion and fear—not because I am stronger than others,
but because I have carried a dream since childhood: to study medicine.

I cried a lot, day and night, with every exam postponement,
with every massacre, and with every day that stole hope from us since October 7 until today.
But I did not give up, and I did not lose faith.

I studied tirelessly, day and night, under inhumane conditions,
and I maintained my academic level despite everything,
until I achieved a 95.85% average—
a score with which I challenged war, fear, and deprivation.

I sleep and dream of becoming a doctor,
treating the sick and tending to the wounded."
