Help Us Survive: A Family’s Plea from Gaza

I'm helping my friend Seraj raise funds to help his family in Gaza through this campaign.

My name is Seraj, and I am raising funds for my 16-year-old sister, Retaj.

Retaj was a healthy, kind, and full-of-life teenager. Everything changed in a single moment when she was critically injured by a gunshot to her head, causing a skull fracture and internal bleeding in her brain.

She was rushed into emergency surgery to save her life. The doctors were able to stabilize her condition, but unfortunately, not all of the damage could be repaired. Fragments are still lodged inside her brain.

Every day, Retaj lives with constant pain and severe headaches. These fragments put her at serious risk of life-threatening complications and may affect her speech, movement, and memory. Despite everything she has already endured, her fight is not over.

Doctors have confirmed that she urgently needs specialized treatment and surgery abroad to safely remove the remaining fragments. Sadly, this type of treatment is not available where we are, and her condition cannot be fully treated locally due to lack of medical resources.

Retaj is still just a child. She should be focused on school, dreams, and her future — not fighting for her life in a hospital bed.
