Help for Mohanad's Family in Gaza

I, Jade, am running this campaign on behalf of my friend Mohanad in Gaza. All the money from this campaign will be transferred to him, and we will provide regular updates. You can follow Mohanad here on instagram.

I have been speaking to Mohanad every day for around 3 months now. He sends me updates on him, his family and the situation in Gaza as a whole, where it is becoming increasingly harder to survive.

I created this campaign as a way of reaching more people who have the financial means to help Mohanad and his family. We thank you for your kindness and generosity.

About Mohanad and his family:

Mohanad is 29 years old and a graduate from Gaza who earned his degree in Accounting from the University of Palestine.

During this war, he has survived bombings, displacement, starvation, and unimaginable hardship. Today, he is the sole provider for his 6 family members which include his parents, his brothers Faraj (23 years old), Milad (15 years old) and his sister, Lina (26 years old) as well as their pet cat, Roza.

Attached to this campaign you will see pictures of the place he once called home—a place he still cannot return to. They also lost almost all their belongings 3 months ago after a last minute emergency evacuation was issued. They barely made it out alive when tanks arrived and destroyed everything in their path. Starting again and buying new belongings and essentials meant that Mohanad was left with no savings.

They are currently living with relatives while waiting for the next impending evacuation order, but even the area he currently lives in is not safe at all. Bombings happen daily and drones are always in the sky.

His dream of survival and rebuilding his life is still alive, but his most urgent goal today is simply to feed his family. Mohanad’s siblings also dream of returning to their education that was disrupted due to the war—Faraj in Pharmacy and Lina in Nutrition.

Your donation will be used to purchase food and other essential items for Mohanad, his family and pet cat. Mohanad continues to carry the weight of his family’s survival, hoping for a lifeline. This burden is honestly one that he should not have to bear alone, and I hope with this campaign he can have the support of many people. Clarity on funds, communication and organiser of the campaign:

Mohanad and I initially communicated via Instagram, but we now keep in touch via WhatsApp daily, where he sends me pictures, videos and audio of what is happening around him.

I send Mohanad the funds from this campaign via crypto wallet to wallet transfer. This is currently the safest and most reliable way to get money to him in Gaza right now and this also ensures that he pays the lowest fees when accessing the funds.

Mohanad has also made sure that I have his siblings contact details and they have mine, so we are also able to contact each other if we need to.
