A Mother’s Plea for Her Baby’s Future

My name is Sahar and I am a Palestinian mother trying to protect my precious 10-month-old daughter, Aseel from the devastating reality of war and displacement.

Every day, I wake up with one goal: to keep my baby safe, fed, and healthy. But in the midst of ongoing conflict, this has become an overwhelming challenge. Access to food, clean water, medical care, and basic necessities has become increasingly difficult. What should be a time of joy and discovery for my daughter has instead become a struggle for survival.

At just 10 months old, she deserves to spend her days learning to crawl, laugh, and explore the world around her—not experiencing fear, uncertainty, and hardship.

Our Story

Like thousands of Palestinian families, we have lost much of what once made our lives stable and secure. Our home, our livelihood, and our sense of safety have been deeply affected by the ongoing crisis.

As a mother, it breaks my heart that I cannot provide the simple things every child needs:
