Help Ahmed and His Family Amid Genocide and Starvation in Gaza

My name is Ahmed Hamad. I am 42 years old, a father of four wonderful children—two boys and two girls.

We used to live in northern Gaza, where I worked every day—sometimes from dawn until late at night—just to make sure my children had food on the table and a roof over their heads. Like any father, my only dream was to see my children grow up safe, healthy, and educated.

But that dream was shattered in a single moment.

When the war escalated, our home was reduced to rubble. I can still hear my daughter’s scream as the walls around us fell. We fled with nothing but the clothes on our backs, and now we are living in a makeshift tent in central Gaza—no electricity, no clean water, no privacy, and no safety.

Every day is a test of survival.
Every night, I lie awake listening to the wind shake the fabric of our tent, praying that my children don’t get sick from the cold or the contaminated water.
I try to be strong for them, but the truth is—I am scared.

I am reaching out to you with a heart heavy with worry but still full of hope.
