👩‍👧‍👦 Who Is Om Amir (Aya)?

I’m Aya, known as Om Amir, a 33-year-old mother of four.
I live in Gaza, in a rented house, struggling alone to care for:

• 👧 Four children (ages 5 to 13) — bright students who can no longer attend school

• 👵 My mother — suffering from severe knee pain, in need of surgery

• 👴 My father — diagnosed with meningitis, requires ongoing monthly treatment

• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 My extended family (20 total) — displaced after their home was bombed; 10 family members were martyred

🏚️ Living Conditions

• 🏠 We were originally paying $300 rent

• Due to the arrival of 20 people, the landlord raised the rent to $500

• 💸 No one in the household has work or income

• 🧕 I’m the only one trying to manage all responsibilities — rent, food, medicine — with nothing

🩺 Medical Needs

• 👴 Father: Ongoing brain inflammation treatment (meningitis)

  • 💵 Cost: $400–$500/month

• 👵 Mother: Requires knee surgery and regular care

• 🤕 Husband: Back injury — unable to work or support the family

• 👧 Children: Suffer emotionally and educationally from the instability
