👩👧👧 Who Is Hanan?
I’m Hanan Hassan, a 32-year-old mother of three children.
We lost our home during the invasion of Al-Maghazi Camp (Dec 2023 – Jan 2024). Since then, we’ve been struggling to survive. My family:
-
👨 Husband: 41 years old – recently showed stroke symptoms after the trauma of displacement
-
👧 Rahaf, 11 years old — Grade 6
-
👧 Habiba, 9 years old — Grade 4
-
👦 Omar, 6 years old — not enrolled in kindergarten due to lack of funds
-
🏚️ We live in a badly damaged rental — no contract, rent is 700 NIS/month, and we’re now 4 months behind
🩺 Health & Medical Needs
-
👶 Omar suffers from severe insect allergies: requires injections, antibiotics, and creams
-
🧔 Husband has asthma and needs a weekly inhaler
-
😓 After our house was bombed, my husband started showing stroke signs — we managed a CT scan, but treatment is unaffordable
-
💊 I have no way to access regular food or clean water, let alone medicine
📚 Education Barriers
-
📒 No school supplies — can’t afford printed worksheets, pens, or notebooks
-
❌ Omar is out of school — due to loss of income and war conditions
-
💡 Children study by phone flashlight — we lost our battery during the bombing and can’t afford a new one (very expensive)
🏚️ Living Conditions
-
🏠 We rent a tiny, damaged home from someone we know — no lease, constant threat of eviction
-
🪑 Lost everything: furniture, clothing, belongings — the house was completely destroyed
-
🔦 No power, and no lighting other than our phone
-
💧 Water is a huge struggle:
-
Bathing water: 200L barrel shared with others, filled every 10–14 days — lasts only 3 days
-
Drinking water: Buy 20L daily for 5 NIS, but can barely afford it
-
-
🔥 Even firewood is hard to find — we often go without cooked meals
❗ What We Urgently Need
-
🏠 Rent support (to avoid eviction)
-
💧 Water & sanitation assistance
-
🩺 Medicine: asthma inhalers, allergy shots, antibiotics
-
📚 Education supplies for the children
-
💡 Battery or lighting aid — no electricity
-
🛏️ Basic household items & clothing (all destroyed in bombing)
-
🥣 Food support — sometimes we can’t even afford bread
💬 From Hanan Hassan
“I used to embroider and my husband worked in a cafeteria. Together we saved 15,000 dinars and bought our house in 2019. We lost everything.
Now I can’t even give my kids a full meal. We’re behind on rent and may be forced to leave again.
We’re tired, cold, and hungry — please help us survive.”
🤲 Your help can bring light, warmth, and dignity back to this family.
