My name is Nahla, and I live in the Gaza Strip—an area overwhelmed by war, blockade, and unlivable conditions. I am a married woman with young children who need care, food, and safety.

My elderly husband suffers from severe mental illness, leaving him unable to work or support our family. I also struggle with chronic high blood pressure and have survived a stroke, which has made it even harder to meet daily needs.

Despite my condition, I’ve become the sole provider for my family. I try my best, but some days I can’t even find food to feed my children. We live in a rented house that costs $400/month, far beyond what I can afford.
