My name is Huda Solaeman, I am 55 years old and originally from Rafah, Gaza. I’m writing this from a small, cramped room in Al-Zawaida, where I’ve been displaced for over a year due to the ongoing war and total destruction of life as we knew it. My family and I are now suffocating under the weight of this catastrophe — and we urgently need your support.
🏚️ We lost our home. We lost our livelihood. Now we may lose the roof over our heads.
We used to live near the Philadelphia Corridor, which has now become a dangerous buffer zone under occupation. Our home is there — we don’t know its fate. We haven’t been allowed to return.
Our only source of income was our car — my son Mohammed (25) used it as a taxi to support us. It was bombed and destroyed. Now Mohammed is unemployed. We have no source of income.
We currently live in a single 35-square-meter space — just one room, a small kitchen, and a bathroom — five people sharing this tiny shelter. But even this fragile shelter is now at risk: the homeowner has asked us to pay $250 in rent per month, or leave. We have nothing left to pay with.
👪 Meet My Family – Each One Struggling
-
Mohammed (25) – Once the breadwinner, now unemployed after our only car was destroyed.
-
Ahmad (19) – Suffers from a severe fungal infection that has spread across his entire body.
-
Dunya (30) – Traumatized by the war and our living conditions. She is deeply depressed and anxious. Her hair falls out. She bites her fingers all day in nervous distress.
-
My husband – Elderly and suffering from chronic high blood pressure. He cannot work. He feels defeated as he watches us suffer.
-
Me – Huda – I suffer from stomach bacteria, gallbladder issues, and frequent chest pains. I’m exhausted, physically and emotionally.
😢 We are surviving on nothing.
No job. No income. No aid. No safe place to go.
All we are asking for is $250 a month to pay the rent and a little help with food so we do not go to sleep hungry again.
🙏 We are not just asking for charity. We are asking for a lifeline.
Please, help us stay in this tiny shelter before we’re thrown onto the streets with nowhere to go. Please help me feed my children, care for my husband, and give my daughter even a little hope to feel safe again.
We have suffered silently for so long. But now, I am crying out.
💬 I turn to you, people of compassion, people of kindness, people of God. Let your mercy reach us. Let your generosity become the reason we survive. 💬
