From war to hunger, Muhannad's family needs you.

My name is Muhannad, I am 31 years old and a father of two children - Tahani (3) and Ibrahim (2) - and God has blessed me with twins, Malika and Malak. I also have my mother, my sister, her orphans, and my brothers who are students in school. I am responsible for 12 members of my family who are displaced, malnourished, and living in two torn, sweltering tents in southern Gaza. We have no food, no milk, no medicine, and no protection. Our house was bombed - we were pulled out from under the rubble. On May 15, 2023, our house was destroyed in an airstrike. My children and I were pulled out injured and traumatized. Everything we owned - clothes, blankets, kitchen utensils, and furniture - was buried under the rubble. Since then, we have been displaced several times, fleeing each time with nothing but fear in our hearts. Today, we live in a dilapidated tent that leaks rain and traps heat. There are no clean toilets, no safe place, no privacy, and no comfort. My children are cold, sick, and hungry. My twins are suffering from respiratory distress and severe malnutrition, yet my children and I are trying to survive in these horrific conditions. I cry when my children ask for food that I cannot provide. My daughter should be in preschool, but I cannot afford it. My daughter asks for fruit—I cannot even afford flour to make bread. We rely on soup kitchens, where the queues are long and the portions are too small to feed the growing children. I am forced to burn wood to cook, putting me at risk of illness in the smoke, as there is no gas or electricity. We urgently need your help to survive. Your support will help us meet basic needs: food, flour, clean water, milk, diapers for my young children, shelter—in a safe and clean place to live, basic hygiene and cleaning supplies.
