My name is Wafa’ Kanean Matar, I’m 32 years old, and I’m writing from northern Gaza, where my entire family—12 people including my three children—now lives in a fragile tent, displaced and under constant threat from ongoing airstrikes.

We lost everything.

There is no food, no safe shelter, no medicine.
My young son suffers from liver enlargement and bone disease, and I am unable to get him proper medical care. Every day, I watch him grow weaker—and I have nothing to offer but prayers and tears.
