My name is Areej, a mother of five children in Gaza. Our lives were turned upside down by the war. We were forced to flee our home and now live in a makeshift zinc room with my family. Every day is a struggle to survive.

My children range in age from 1.5 to 18 years old. My youngest son, Jawad, was born during the war and is now just a year and a half old. He has never known peace, only rubble and struggle.

My 14-year-old daughter entered puberty during the war — a time when she should’ve felt safe and supported. Instead, we live with fear, hunger, and extreme hardship. My 9-year-old daughter, Mariam, asks for bread while I have nothing to offer.

We’re asking for help to buy food, provide hygiene for my daughters, and bring safety to my children. Every contribution gives us strength and restores our hope.
