My name is Ismael, also known as Abu Yazan. I’m 32 years old, and I live in Gaza with my two beautiful children — my daughter Sara, who is 7, and my son Yazan, who is just 4.

We are still living in what’s left of our home — a house that was severely damaged by airstrikes. The walls are cracked, the roof leaks, and it no longer offers safety or shelter. But it’s all we have.

Every day is a struggle for survival.

Due to the devastating blockade and siege, we are facing serious health issues caused by severe malnutrition. My children are weak, hungry, and often sick. Even clean water is hard to come by. We can’t access the most basic medical care.

But what breaks my heart most — beyond the hunger — is that my children are out of school. Sara dreams of becoming a teacher. Yazan just wants to learn to write his name. But with schools destroyed, supplies unaffordable, and daily life in chaos, their futures are slipping away.

I’m just a father who wants to protect, feed, and educate his children — and right now, I cannot do it without your help.

With all my heart,
Ismael (Abu Yazan)
