My name is Hayam Ibrahim Alqarra, a mother from Khan Younis – Bani Suhaila, Gaza. I was displaced from my home on the third day of the war. Since then, my life and my family’s life have been nothing but suffering, hunger, and fear.

💣 What Happened to Us:

• 🏚️ Our house was completely demolished in the war.

• 🏫 We fled to a school for shelter, but even now, we cannot return — we have nothing left.

• 🏕️ We are now living in a tent with no safety, no electricity, no food, no water.

👨‍👩‍👧 My Family:

• 👧🏼 I have a 3-year-old daughter who can’t bear the hunger.

• 🤕 My husband is injured in his chest, with shrapnel still in his body — he cannot work.

• 🧕🏼 I am doing my best to care for my child in impossible conditions.

🔥 Our Daily Struggles:

• 🥵 We cook on open fires — the price of gas has reached $400 per cylinder, which we simply cannot afford.

• 🌡️ Despite the heat, the bombing, and our pain, we still must feed our children.

• 😢 My husband went out just to get a bit of lentils for our daughter and came back empty-handed.
