My name is Mahmoud Musallam, I'm a high school student living in Gaza, displaced and sheltering with my sister and her family in a rented home. I’m just 18, but I’ve become the only provider for a family of eight, many of whom are sick, injured, and in urgent need of care.

💔 Our Reality:

• We live in a rented house ($200/month) with 8 people:

  • 🧓 My mother (injured during the war – shrapnel in her brain)

  • 👩‍🦱 My sister (cancer patient and war injury in the jaw)

  • 👦 Two babies: 9 months & 3 years

    • One has a serious abdominal condition – his intestines are outside his body

  • 👨‍🎓 Me (trying to finish high school while working to support everyone)

  • 👧 Two others (ages 15 and 24)

• Everyone relies on me — a student — to cover:

  • 🧼 Diapers and baby formula

  • 💊 Medication for cancer, allergies, war wounds

  • 📚 My private lessons in English & Math: $150/month (essential for graduation)

  • 💉 Treatment for my baby nephew: $300/month
