🆘 A Father’s Plea from a Tent in Khan Younis

My name is Iyad, I’m 56 years old. Before the war, I lived in a small home in Rafah, Gaza with my wife and two children. My house is now completely destroyed, and I’m left with nothing but grief, pain, and a torn piece of fabric over my head in a makeshift tent.

I’m writing to you because we’re running out of time. I’ve lost my son. I’ve lost my home. And now, I fear losing my health, my family, and the will to carry on.

💔 The Tragedy

• My 19-year-old son was martyred in this brutal war.

• I suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, and a swollen right knee that keeps me from working.

• My wife has severe arthritis, and we can’t afford the medicine we both need.

• My son Ibrahim is experiencing psychological trauma from the horrors he’s witnessed.

• My brother Omar needs urgent knee surgery, but we have no money, no access, and no support.

🏚 Living in Extreme Conditions

Since our home was destroyed, we’ve been displaced to Khan Younis, living in a crumbling tent with no protection from the cold, no clean bedding, and barely enough to survive.

• 🛏 We sleep on worn-out fabric without clean blankets.

• 🥣 We go to sleep hungry most nights—there is no food or clean water.

• 💊 We can’t afford even the most basic medications.

• 🔥 We cook with firewood because a gas cylinder costs $400, far beyond our means.

💬 Iyad’s Words

"We are dying slowly—of hunger, of sickness, of grief. My children are hungry and I can’t feed them. I see their tears every day, and I feel helpless. I need your help, even the smallest contribution, so we can survive one more day. May God reward you for your mercy and kindness."
