Wasem is a devoted father of four, the sole provider for his family and elderly parents, and a man who has spent his life helping others as a medical device engineer and student working toward his master’s degree. But war has taken everything from him—his home, his career, his studies, and most tragically, his youngest child.

Now, he and his surviving family are crammed into an overcrowded tent in central Gaza, struggling without clean water, food, or basic necessities. His eldest son suffered severe burns in the bombing that destroyed their home, and Wasem is desperately trying to get him to the UAE for urgent plastic surgery.

A Family Fighting for Survival & A Way Out
