Ali once had a beautiful family of 35 people, living in a four-story home filled with love, laughter, and security. That life was stolen from him in an instant.

On December 11, 2023, during the evening prayer, an airstrike obliterated his home without warning, leaving 25 of his loved ones martyred, their bodies buried under rubble—some in pieces, some lost forever. The unimaginable grief of that day still haunts him, but now, Ali faces a new horror: trying to keep the rest of his family alive.

A Family Left With Nothing

Ali and his surviving family now sleep in the streets, with only two pieces of nylon as shelter. They have no proper tent, no food, no warm clothing, and no safe place to stay.

Ali’s Leadership in Rebuilding Gaza

Despite his suffering, Ali has become a pillar of hope for others. He has assumed the role of team leader for Falasteen Freed’s on-the-ground initiatives and is making great strides in the restoration movement in central Gaza. His strength, resilience, and leadership are inspiring others to rebuild—but he still needs help to keep his own family alive.
