Help Samhareen and Her Children Rebuild Their Lives After War

My name is Samhareen, a 45-year-old mother from Gaza, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope and a desperate plea for help. I’m the mother of five beautiful children, and I’m doing everything I can to keep them safe and alive after our entire world was shattered by war.

Before the war, we lived a peaceful, happy life. My husband owned a marble and granite factory, and I ran a beauty salon. Our children were thriving in their schools and universities. Our home was full of love, laughter, and dreams for the future.

But everything changed in an instant.

On October 21, 2023, our home was bombed. We survived by a miracle, pulling ourselves from under the rubble. We lost everything we worked so hard to build. We come from humble beginnings and spent years building a life from nothing—brick by brick, dream by dream.

Since then, we’ve been displaced multiple times, fleeing for our lives. On January 4, 2024, we were trapped overnight in a rented house under heavy gunfire. We survived again, only to walk nearly 15 kilometers on foot to safety with our children.

We could no longer afford rent and had no choice but to live in a tent for 9 months. I have chronic asthma, and life in the tent—exposed to toxic smoke and pollution—pushed my health to the edge. I suffered from severe oxygen deficiency and fell into a coma, spending six days in the ICU.

I survived, but I haven’t recovered.

Today, I can no longer breathe on my own without an oxygen tank. My health is fragile, and I suffer frequent, terrifying oxygen deficiency attacks. Tent life is no longer an option—I would not survive it again.

We are now living in a rented house, but we have no source of income, no savings, and we’re months behind on rent. We are facing eviction, and I am terrified for what that would mean for my children and my health.

This campaign is my last hope—to raise enough to:

Pay our accumulated rent
Afford lifesaving medication and oxygen
Provide my children with basic necessities and food

I am asking for your compassion and support. Your donation, no matter how small, could help save our lives, keep a roof over our heads, and restore some stability and hope to our family.

Please help us survive. Please help me give my children a future.

With all my heart,

Samhareen
