My name is Shadi, I am 37 years old.

Before the war, I was a lawyer and human rights activist ⚖️, working to support my family with dignity.

Today, war has taken everything.

Our home is gone.

My work is gone.

Our stability is gone.

A family torn apart

I am the father of three beautiful children:

Mohammad urgently needs life-saving treatment and open-heart surgery.

Every passing day puts his fragile heart in greater danger.

But Mohammad is not the only one suffering.

My wife Noor survived a serious car accident 🚗💥.

Her body now carries metal plates, and she lives with constant pain.

She needs ongoing medical treatment and rehabilitation.

Despite her injuries, she is alone raising our children and caring for Mohammad in exile — far away from me.

For nearly 2.5 years, I have not been able to hold my children in my arms.

I live in a tent in Gaza ⛺ after the war destroyed our home.

Life here means:

Every day I wake up with the same thought:

“Will my son survive long enough for treatment?”
