Maysa, a displaced mother of four children, is living in a flimsy, tape-bound tent in Gaza—without bread, without medicine, and without safety. Her eldest and youngest children both suffer from thalassemia and severe anemia. She is raising them alone after her husband was detained by the occupation while searching for firewood near a restricted area.

Maysa herself is suffering from a growing cyst and daily, debilitating headaches. Doctors told her she needs urgent tests before surgery, but the cost is impossible for a woman with no income, no support, and no food.

“I just want a loaf of bread to satisfy my children’s hunger. They sleep hungry every night. I have nothing—not even a flashlight to light our tent.”
