My name is Matar, and I come from beloved, resilient Gaza.

Before the war turned our lives upside down, I worked in hospitality, where kindness, respect, and love for people were at the heart of everything I did.

But everything changed when the war began. My family and I were forced to flee our home in search of safety. We now live in a tent, struggling to survive every day. ⛺

Tragedy struck—
I lost my beloved mother because we couldn’t find the medicine or food she needed. 💔
Not long after, I suffered a serious injury and lost my right eye. The damage was severe and required removal. I can no longer see through it — it feels like a window to the world has been closed forever. 😔

Now I’m fighting to save the only eye I have left. Without urgent medical help, I may lose my sight completely. I fear I won’t be able to see my children grow, or care for them as a father should. 👁️🧒

I’m a husband and a father of four, including a precious baby girl. We live in a war zone, without income or resources. The pain is deep, and the needs are many.
