Dadโฆ Are You Going to Let Me Die? ๐ Help Gehadโs Family Survive
๐๏ธ Who I Am
My name is Gehad Qasem, I’m 30 years old — a husband, a father, and a Palestinian lawyer from the Gaza Strip.
Before the war, I lived a peaceful life with my wife Nour (29, a Health Administration graduate) and our two sons:
๐ฆ Hani, age 7
๐ถ Tim, age 4
I had built a promising legal career. I graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2019 and opened my own legal consultancy office in Beit Hanoun. We lived in the home I built with my own hands.
We had a future. We had dreams.
Then the war came — and took it all away.
๐ฃ What Happened to Us
On the morning of October 7, we received an evacuation order.
We fled from shelter to shelter: from Jabalia to Deir al-Balah, Rafah, Khan Younis, Beit Lahia, and Sheikh Radwan.
Today, we live in a tent — exposed to the elements, rodents, and danger.
๐๏ธ Our home and my law office were destroyed.
๐ We lost every source of income and every possession.
๐ข My children lost their education, their innocence, and their safety.
๐ช We survive under daily bombing, displacement, and hunger.
๐งบ We depend entirely on aid — but it’s not enough to live.
๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฆ About My Family
๐ฆ Hani (7) was meant to start first grade — but war shattered his chance to go to school.
๐ถ Tim (4) suffers from malnutrition, involuntary urination, and weight loss. He urgently needs:
๐ผ Diapers and milk
๐ฃ Nutritional support and medical care
๐ท My wife Nour now suffers from chronic chest issues due to exposure to smoke and toxic air.
๐ I myself am growing weaker every day — I’ve lost weight, energy, and the ability to walk far.
๐ชฆ My closest friend and brother in heart, Tamer Barakat, became a martyr. The grief is unbearable.
๐ต Our Dire Situation
๐๏ธ We live in a tent without protection from the sun, cold, or insects.
๐ฝ๏ธ Food is scarce — we line up for hours, often leaving with nothing.
๐ฅ We haven’t eaten bread in over two months.
๐ฐ Even water is hard to come by — and the children wait in long lines just for a drink.
๐ถ Our youngest is getting sicker by the day.
๐ One night, after relentless bombing, my child turned to me and whispered:
“Dad… are you going to let me die?”
๐ Why We Need Your Help
I am not sharing our pain to ask for pity — but to ask for humanity.
Every donation, every share, every prayer can help keep my family alive.
We urgently need:
๐ Food and clean water
๐ผ Diapers and baby formula for Tim
๐ Medicine for Nour and the children
๐ Shelter, clothes, and basic necessities
