My name is Kareem, I’m 22 years old and a university student from Gaza.
I live through war, displacement, hunger, and pain — not just for myself, but for my entire family and even the stray animals I care for.

πŸ’” Our life collapsed overnight

A missile destroyed our home.
Now, we live crammed in a relative’s small house — along with 80 other displaced people.

We lost everything:
πŸ›οΈ No beds
πŸ‘• No clothes
🍞 No food
🚰 No clean water

🧍‍♂️ I am the only one trying to hold us together

I care for my family of six:

  • My father (60)

  • My mother (50) — she has diabetes, high blood pressure, heart palpitations, spine and knee damage, and needs urgent surgery for both knees

  • Two sisters (18 & 15), one brother (10) — all their education has stopped

  • Myself — I suffer from a torn ligament in my right knee and need surgery

My mother’s medications cost more than we can ever afford. Prices have skyrocketed. Now she lives in constant pain. And every day we struggle just to find a single meal.

🍽️ Every day is a battle for bread

Even $50/day barely gets us enough bread for breakfast.
Often, we go to sleep hungry.
There is no money for rent, so we remain displaced, stuck, forgotten.
Even drinking water is contaminated — filled with microbes that make us sick.

🐾 Even animals are suffering here

I care for a group of injured stray cats who survived bombings — left with burns, wounds, and trauma.
I try to feed and treat them when I can, even though I have almost nothing myself. No creature deserves this.

🌍 What we need:

  • 🍞 Daily food and clean drinking water

  • 🏠 Safe shelter

  • πŸ’Š Urgent medication and surgery for my mother

  • 🩼 Knee surgery for myself so I can walk without pain

  • πŸ“š Help for my siblings to return to school

  • πŸ’‘ Access to electricity, hygiene, and stability

  • 🐈 Veterinary care for the abandoned animals I try to protect

  • πŸŽ“ Support so I can finish university and create a future for my family

I’m not asking for luxury.
I’m asking for survival.
I’m asking for help to keep my family alive.

Every donation helps — even a few dollars can feed us for a day.
Please help us survive this.
And if you can’t donate, please share our story.

With all my heart,
– Kareem, Gaza
