Helping the Al-Areer family survive atrocities

Dear compassionate souls,

My name is Adel Al-Areer, and I send this heartfelt appeal with a heavy heart, seeking your help in our dire hour of need. Some of you may remember my brother Refaat Al-Areer, a well known writer and professor, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on December 6. Before he was killed, Refaat wrote: 
"If I must die, 
you must live,
 to tell my story" 

All of our existence has been ravaged by the relentless onslaught of the ongoing war. In addition to losing Refaat, we also lost three other siblings, and five nieces/nephews. And then, on April 26, an Israeli airstrike killed Refaat's daughter, her husband and their newborn baby in their home. My family and I were plunged once again into devastating grief.

Once a sanctuary of love and warmth, our home now lies in ruins. Displaced, we cling to the hope of a better future for our family. While we struggle to bring that future about, we are so grateful for you in helping us to survive.
