Aya from Gaza 💔Young Injured Mother Fighting to Feed Her Family
🕊️ Who I Am
My name is Aya, I’m 21 years old, a wife, a mother to a one-year-old baby, and currently pregnant.
My family and I are among the many who lost everything in the war on Gaza. Our home was destroyed, and both my husband, child, and I were injured in the bombing. I was told to try starting a donation campaign, so I’m asking—because I don’t know where else to turn.
💣 What Happened to Us
-
🏚️ Our house was bombed, and we were all injured in the attack.
-
🏃♀️ We are now displaced in Deir al-Balah, renting a house we can’t afford.
-
👥 We live with my husband’s extended family — 11 people in total.
-
📉 We have no source of income, and all our savings and belongings were lost.
🩺 Our Medical Needs
-
💊 My husband needs weekly pain medication for his injury — it costs $150/week.
-
🤱 My baby suffers from malnutrition and urgently needs milk and diapers.
-
👣 He also needs orthopedic shoes due to a foot condition.
-
🩸 I’m pregnant and suffer from severe anemia and malnutrition.
-
🧓 My mother-in-law is elderly and very ill — she needs medication for diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease, and injections for her eye condition.
💵 Our Financial Situation
-
🏚️ We owe $700 in rent debt, and the landlord is threatening to evict us.
-
💰 The monthly rent is $350, and we haven’t been able to pay for two months.
-
🍞 We haven’t eaten bread in over two months because flour is too expensive.
-
🥣 We sometimes survive on lentil bread — when we get help from local kitchens.
-
🚶♀️ We walk long distances between neighborhoods hoping for a meal from a soup kitchens (tkiya) — sometimes we find it, sometimes we don’t.
🙏 Why We Need Your Help

-
🍞 Food & bread
-
🍼 Baby formula & diapers
-
💊 Medications for me, my husband, and my mother-in-law

🏠 Rent and utility bills
-
👟 Medical shoes for my baby
-
❤️ Dignity, stability, and a chance to recover
