My name is Saif, and I'm organizing this campaign to help Ashraf and his family rebuild their lives in northern Gaza.

Ashraf, his wife, and their one-year-old son, Yamen, are among countless families who have endured unimaginable loss during the devastating genocide. Their home, their neighborhood, and everything they once knew have been completely destroyed. Baby Yamen, born in the midst of the chaos, has spent his entire young life surrounded by fear, destruction, and instability.

Now, as a fragile ceasefire offers a glimmer of hope, Ashraf and his family face an uphill battle to rebuild their lives. They have nothing to return to—no home, no belongings, no safe space for their son. While some families are returning to homes that are partially standing, Ashraf’s neighborhood has been completely obliterated, leaving them with no choice but to start over entirely.

Ashraf is pursuing this campaign with the goal of raising $5,000 to rebuild his family’s life and provide a stable environment for Yamen. This amount will help cover essential needs, including:

• Securing safe housing: Monthly rent in northern Gaza is at least $400. Your support will ensure the family has a roof over their heads while they rebuild their future.

• Basic necessities: Funds will also be used to purchase critical items like food, clothing, and supplies for Yamen, who deserves the care and comfort every child should have.

This campaign is not just about rebuilding a house; it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and stability to a family whose lives have been completely shattered. It’s about giving Yamen a chance to grow up in safety and love—far removed from the destruction and fear he’s already endured in his first year of life.

As our situation evolves, I am increasing the fundraising goal to help cover the ongoing monthly rent of $400 and provide Yamen with the most basic necessities. The struggle to secure food, clothing, and hygiene essentials for him continues to be a daily challenge.

In addition, we are now facing another deeply personal and pressing reality. My wife is pregnant, and we are expecting a new baby. While this news should be a source of joy, it also adds to the immense pressure we are already under, especially in these uncertain times.

Even if the war were to stop today, there are still no jobs, no income, and no stability. The reconstruction of Gaza will take possibly over a year before any form of normalcy or government assistance returns. Until then, there is no alternative housing, no rent relief, and no safe shelter for the thousands of displaced families like ours. Over 85% of the Gaza Strip lies in ruins.
