Help Us Care for the Four Orphaned Children of Mohammed and Jumana

Mohammed Riyad Foura was a 32-year-old father of four. In July 2025, he and his beloved wife Jumana were tragically killed after returning to the north of Gaza—hoping to reclaim their life, their land, and their dignity. Instead, their lives were stolen by the very violence they had tried so hard to escape, leaving their four young children orphaned in the rubble of war.

Their deaths are not just a tragedy—they are a cruel reminder of how even those who survive displacement, injury, and bombings are never truly safe. Their children, already traumatised by war, now face this world utterly alone.

The family had been displaced multiple times. After their home in Gaza was destroyed, they moved to Nuseirat, then Deir al-Balah, living in a makeshift tent of blankets and tarps. Jumana and one of the children were injured in a shopping mall bombing. They lived in deep poverty, sleeping on the cold ground, unable to afford medical care, shoes, or even enough food.

Eventually, like so many others, they made the painful decision to return to the north—despite the danger—because it was their home. But soon after, Mohammed and Jumana were killed.

Now, their four children remain behind, orphaned and defenceless. They are living among the ruins, in unbearable conditions, facing hunger, illness, and the biting fear of what tomorrow might bring.

We are urgently raising funds to support these four children. They need:

Mohammed and Jumana are gone. But their children are still here, and they need us now more than ever.

Every donation will go directly towards supporting their survival and recovery. If you are unable to give, please share their story so others can help.

Please—stand with the four orphaned children of Mohammed and Jumana. Let them know they are not alone.

With love and hope,
Megan
