Hello everyone

I am Watan Tanani, a 26 year-old mother to my adorable 4-year-old son, Hadi, and a new born baby Sari and I'm reaching out for your help. After much hesitation, I've made the difficult decision to seek assistance in evacuating my family from the ongoing devastation in Gaza.

My husband, Mutasem, and I had built a cozy home in Al-Shuja'iya camp in northern Gaza, where we lived happily despite the challenges posed by the blockade. However, the onset of genocide in Gaza shattered our peaceful existence, leaving us homeless and destitute. Our once vibrant home now lies in ruins, and we were forced to flee to Rafah with only the clothes on our backs and a handful of essential documents. Rebuilding our lives from scratch has been a daunting task.

I graduated from university with a degree in Business Administration. My dream of continuing my Master's studies has been taken away because all universities in Gaza have been destroyed. With nothing but the clothes on our backs and a few essential documents, we are struggling to rebuild our lives from scratch.

The ongoing genocide in Gaza has irrevocably altered our lives. Cut off from the world by power and internet outages, we live in a perpetual state of uncertainty, unable to connect with our loved ones or seek assistance. The fear of the unknown, coupled with the constant threat of violence, has inflicted deep wounds on our hearts and minds.

Words cannot express the anguish of fleeing our home and city amidst the chaos of relentless bombardment. Each explosion serves as a stark reminder of the horrors we've endured, leaving us traumatized and paralyzed by fear.

But amidst the darkness, there is a flicker of hope—a glimmer of resilience that refuses to be extinguished. That hope lies in you, dear friends. With your unwavering support, we can rebuild our shattered lives and secure a brighter future for my precious child, Hadi..

Your kindness, whether through donations or sharing our story, can make all the difference. We are determined to leave Gaza for Egypt, but the costs are daunting—$10,000 per adult to cross the Rafah border. We need around $15,000 for my child and me, and any additional funds will go to cover our living expenses in Egypt, including rent, food, and necessities until we are back on our feet.

Thank you from the depths of our hearts for taking the time to hear our plea and considering supporting our GoFundMe campaign. Your love and generosity give us the strength to carry on in the face of adversity.

With love and boundless gratitude.
