On the 7th of October, it was a tragic day when the occupation forces asked us to evacuate our house in Beit Hanoun, the northernmost part of the Gaza Strip. We had no choice but to flee, running on foot toward the city of Beit Lahia. We spent a day in a shelter, then had to flee again. It was the beginning of a journey of suffering, a journey of continuous displacement, a journey with no end in sight.

I am Ahmed  Al-Kafarna, 20 years old, a student at Al-Azhar University, studying Agricultural Engineering.

I never imagined I would stand before you one day asking for help to save my life from this ongoing terror. No words can describe the suffering we live through every day. We live in shelters, in a tent made of cloth, with no shelter and no safety.

We have been displaced more than 20 times in 550 days. Each time brought a new story of suffering, and each time added to our wounds. We saw dismembered bodies, we fled death, and we faced the brutality of the occupation in every sense of the word. I can't describe how we searched for food during times of extreme hunger. I would look for animal feed and tree leaves to feed my younger siblings. Our lives were full of never-ending challenges.

The hardest thing we went through was the feeling of helplessness in front of the children who were crying from hunger. I would insist on giving them water during those days when we couldn't find food. There was nothing to ease our suffering except the faint hope that this terror would pass. I longed to live in a safe house, to see safety, to be able to protect my family from the death that chases us every day.

In a few days, Jude's health began to deteriorate suddenly, with painful pimples and blisters spreading across her tiny face. We quickly went to the doctors, who told us that in a few days her health would improve.

The blisters quickly spread all over her delicate body. What had been a simple redness turned into painful burns that made her cry day and night. Her tiny body knew no rest, and her eyes watered from the intensity of the relentless burning.

Jude now feels a constant burning sensation and pain that wakes her from her sleep, preventing her from resting or playing as she used to. Her condition requires urgent special treatment and medical follow-up, but the cost is beyond our financial means. Please do not leave Jude alone.

Ismail and Imad are not just two children, they are brothers in need of food, hope, and life. Your donation, no matter how small, could mean the difference between life and death. Don't let Ismail and Imad die of hunger. Donate now and help save their lives and bring a smile back to their tearful eyes.

I witnessed with my own eyes the cruelty of the occupation. House burnings, destruction of medicine, burning of books, and the destruction of hospitals were part of our bitter reality. Nothing was left intact in Gaza; even our future was destroyed. Every day that passed, my hopes of continuing my education faded away. I only studied agricultural engineering for one year, and then this nightmare came and destroyed everything.

  1. But today, here I am, asking for help not to change my life, but to feel safe, to live in a safe place with my family. I need food for my children, medicine for my sick mother. I need hope for a better life.

Before you now, I appeal to you to extend a helping hand to us because we are in urgent need of you. We need you to help us feel safe, so we can live a dignified life. Don't let this suffering continue to tear us apart, but be our support in these difficult times.
