Help Mohammed and his Family Find Hope in Gaza
Hello my name is Dylan Moss and I am fundraising for Mohammed, a 17 year old in Gaza who needs help surviving the genocide in Gaza.
"I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mohammed. I'm 17 years old and I live in the central area on the Netzarim axis. I have a large family of 10 people and my elderly parents suffer from chronic diseases: diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid, and heart disease. Fortunately my family lived in Zahraa City. For those who don't know, Zahraa is a beautiful city, considered one of the most beautiful in the Gaza Strip, built to the latest standards. This encouraged my parents to build a large, beautiful house with a lush green garden full of flourishing trees, including palm trees, citrus trees, guava trees, and others. Since the outbreak of this desrructive and irrational war our lives have changed radically. We lost our wondeful life filled with love and security and our sense of safety vanished as fear, terror, and death became our constant companions amid the relentless bombardement.
We live in a constant state of fear and uncertainty. The war destroyed our lives, deprived us of livelihoods and turned our home into a very desolate place. Our three story house was targeted directly and completely demolished, making it uninhabitable. Our once comfortable lives are now such that we struggle to meet our most basic needs: food, water, and shelter, even if they were primative. Faced with relentless attacks from land, sea and air, we had no choice but to leave our beautiful city. Although this decision was diffcult- it meant leaving the place we had always considered home and saying goodbye to our loved ones- it was driven by our family's overwhelming desire to protect us from a life of fear, death and destruction. This was especially true after Israeli forces destroyed my city, leveling nearly 30 residential towers in a single night, from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM the next morning. These apartments housed hundred of apartments and thousands of innocent families. It was a hellish night I will never forget; the sound of missiles still echo in my sleep, causing mw to wake up terrified and seek refuge in my parents arms. The terrifying, deafening noise seems to haunt me endlessly.
We are not only suffering from material deprivation but also the psychological and moral effects of living in a war zone where everything has been destroyed. There is no shelter, no education, no healthcare, no electricity, no water, no cooking gas. The most devastating thing is the lack of hope for the future.
I miss my old life. My home, my toys, my beautiful clothes. I miss my school, my teachers, and my friends whose present whereabouts I don't know now.
I know you are wonderful people who wouldn't wish such pain and despair on anybody. I'm sure you look to your wife, siblings, or children and fear for them, just as we do. We support you with our love and prayers, asking God to protect you. Nevertheless, we look to your support for our survival. By supporting this campaign you are not just helping one family, but also advocating for peace, dignity, and the right to live without fear.
We are grateful you took the time to read this story. Your generosity, kindness and compassion have had a profound impact on us. With your help we can move beyond the darkness of war towards a future filled with hope and light. Even a small donation can help ud rebuild our destroyed home and revive our dreams. You will also be helping my beloved brother Mahmoud continue his university studies and fulfill his dream of studying medicine.
Will you help us achieve our beautiful dream? Do not forget. I look forward to your support and contributions."
Thank you for taking the time to read Mohammed's story. Please donate anything you can to help his family.
