My family and I once lived in stability, but the war destroyed everything in an instant. Our home in the north was completely demolished and turned into rubble. We left behind everything, including our memories and dreams.
Today, we live in a tent after being forcibly displaced, trying to adapt to our new reality under harsh conditions, lacking even the most basic necessities of life.
My family is large, consisting of my mother, my sisters, and my brothers, all of whom are married and have children. Despite the size of our family, the difficult circumstances we face leave us unable to provide even the most basic necessities. Life has become so expensive that securing simple items like flour for bread has become a struggle. Some days, we struggle to find enough flour to feed ourselves.
Maali, my sister, suffers from partial paralysis and severe bedsores that require constant medical care, including gauze and disinfectants for dressing her wounds, as well as five diapers a day, each costing $5. Providing these necessities has become a heavy burden on us, especially with all the challenges we face.
Mais, another sister, is studying for her high school exams (Tawjihi) and is doing her best to continue her education despite the hardships. Despite the bleak outlook, Mais holds on to hope, believing that education is the only way out.
Majd, the youngest sister, helps my mother take care of Maali and manage the household. Despite her young age, she carries a lot of responsibility and helps with everything she can.
Adding to our struggles, my father passed away, leaving us with a small pension. However, due to the war, the occupation has stopped the payments, leaving us with no financial support. We now rely on you and your donations to meet our basic needs.
Every day is a struggle for survival. We try to adapt and make do, but we are in desperate need of your support. Any help, no matter how small, will assist us in meeting basic needs: from Maali’s treatment to caring for the twins, from flour for food to Mais’s educational supplies.
We still believe that hope exists, and your support will give us a chance to live with dignity in these difficult times.
Thank you to everyone who reads our story and extends a helping hand.
