Important note: in case we are subject to bombardment and my family and I lose our lives, this money will go to help the poor.
Purpose of the Funds
1. To meet the basic needs of Menna’s family—including food, clean water, medicine, blankets, tents, and urgent medical supplies.
2. To rent a safe home instead of living in a worn-out tent.
3. To pay university tuition fees so Menna can continue her medical studies and build a better future.
4. To help her sister Farah and brother Mohammad Jaber continue their education remotely.
5. To support the family’s ability to travel and leave Gaza as soon as the border opens, to find safety and rebuild their lives.
My story
My name is Menna. I’m a second-year medical student at the Islamic University of Gaza. I’ve always dreamed of becoming a doctor—not just to heal, but to serve my people, my city, and above all, my family.
We were a warm, tight-knit family of seven. My father worked hard to provide for us, my mother was a passionate teacher who earned recognition for her excellence. My brothers Fadi and Feras both graduated as engineers and worked tirelessly to build a future. My sister Farah, a robotics prodigy, was in her final year of high school, winning competitions and making robots. My youngest brother Mohammad Jaber was just beginning his educational journey.
We had hope, plans, and dignity. But war changed everything.
During the first Rafah offensive, our home was wiped out. My university was bombed. My father’s and brother’s businesses were destroyed. Farah’s school year was cut short and her future became unknown. My mother, who had dedicated her life to education, suddenly lost her job. And now we live in displacement, stripped of safety, income, and stability.
Despite it all, I continue to study online—whenever electricity and internet allow. We survive on next to nothing. My younger siblings walk for hours just to find clean water. And yet, we keep going.
This campaign is our only remaining lifeline.
Your support can help us stay alive. It can give us shelter. It can help me complete my medical education. It can allow Farah and Mohammad Jaber to continue their studies. And, if the border opens, it can help us finally leave this warzone and begin rebuilding our lives.
Please, help us reclaim our future. Every dollar you give is not just a donation—it is hope, dignity, and a chance to live.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Menna

About Our Home in Rafah
Our home in Rafah was completely destroyed during the first Rafah offensive in this war of annihilation. We lost not only our house, but also our business—my father’s mobile store. Everything we had built over years disappeared in a single moment. We are now displaced and struggling to survive.
⸻
Our Pets
We had two beloved cats, but they tragically died as a result of the bombing that destroyed our home. The only pet left with us now is our bird, Jamil, whose name means “beautiful.” He’s a small piece of comfort in the midst of everything we’ve lost.
