I am Vinoth, fundraising for Abeer Sami Al-Bardini, a Palestinian resident of Gaza, more precisely of  Deir Al-Balah. We met via a mutual friend who is fundraising for someone who lives in the same area as Abeer. With the closure of the Rafah crossing by the occupation forces, along with the prohibition of humanitarian aid entering Gaza, a large number of displaced people has now been displaced again from Rafah to Deir Al-Balah, where Abeer resides. A family camp has been formed in this area. Abeer couldn't stand seeing her community living in poor conditions, so she decided to take action.

Abeer will be collecting donations via this campaign to provide all sorts of basic needs to the displaced people of her area; so far, she has already given out food, water, and diapers, and she is also starting to build bathrooms for the camp with funds arranged from other sources. They have plans to pitch a few tents for families that arrive with nothing. Water delivery to the camp is sporadic at best, and there are no wells onsite. I will collect the funds in my local US bank account and send them to Abeer via a mutually agreed payment mechanism.

As you can see in the videos and pictures above, Abeer and her team have been busy making a difference for several Palestinian families. You can follow their progress on Twitter here: @Hghi369713. Most of them have small children; since we don't know when the situation with the border will change, people need to be provided for somehow, and this is how Abeer found to do so. I assure you that all the funds collected for this campaign will further this humanitarian cause.

Fund Transfer Update (Aug 28)

✅ Thanks to donors like you, this campaign has collected $4,925 (8% of the goal).

✅ 97% of the collected amount has been transferred. This latest round will help procure water and a tent.
