Dear kind people,

My name is Alaa. I’m a 4th-year medical student from Gaza, and continuing my education has become a daily battle for survival.

Since the war began, everything in my life has changed. My family lost stability, safety, and all our intire life savings. Basic needs became a struggle — and education almost became impossible.

But despite everything, I refused to give up on my dream of becoming a doctor.

I kept studying through fear, hunger, and bombardment. I volunteered at the hospital while everything around us was collapsing. Even during the genocide, I managed to complete two years of my medical degree.

Now I am fighting to finish the final two years.

Each year costs £3,500, and without support I risk losing my place in medical school — and the future I have worked my entire life for.

This is not just about tuition.

It is about protecting a future.
It is about refusing to let war decide my destiny.
It is about giving a student from Gaza the chance to become a doctor and heal others one day.

And it is about giving the future doctors of Gaza a chance to rebuild a healthcare system that has been devastated.
