Help Khadija and Her Children Survive Hunger

My name is Khadija, a mother of four children from Gaza. Since the beginning of the war on October 7, my home was completely destroyed. We were forced to flee more than five times, moving between tents on the beach, Rafah, and Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis.

In an attempt to survive, we rented a partially destroyed home, unfit for living, with only one usable room and a bathroom, costing $300 per month. After two months, we couldn’t afford the rent anymore, and the debt piled up to 11 months (a total of $3,300). Just a few days ago, we were evicted.

We are now staying in a relative’s bombed-out house, covered with tarps, consisting of just one room and a bathroom, with no basic necessities.

My children are suffering from hunger and illness, and I cannot afford their medication. We owe the pharmacy 1,300 shekels, and they will not provide further medicine until the debt is paid.

I am pleading with you from a mother’s broken heart:
Please help me save my children, help us pay our debts, and rebuild a small home to shelter us from death.

أنا خديجة، أم لأربعة أطفال من غزة. منذ بداية الحرب في 7 أكتوبر، دُمر منزلي بالكامل، واضطررنا للنزوح أكثر من خمس مرات، ننتقل بين الخيام على شاطئ البحر، ورفح، والمواصي في خانيونس.

في محاولة للنجاة، استأجرنا منزلًا شبه مدمر لا يصلح للسكن سوى في غرفة واحدة وحمام، مقابل 300 دولار شهريًا. بعد شهرين، عجزنا عن دفع الإيجار، وتراكمت علينا 11 شهرًا من الديون (3300 دولار)، فطُردنا قبل أيام قليلة.

نقيم الآن في منزل قريب مدمّر ومغطى بالشوادر، عبارة عن غرفة وحمام فقط، بلا أدنى مقومات الحياة.

أطفالي يعانون من الجوع والمرض، ولا أستطيع شراء العلاج لهم. تراكمت علينا ديون الصيدلية، ولم يعد بإمكاننا الحصول على الدواء إلا بعد دفع 1300 شيكل.
