Urgent Relief: Help Shadi Rebuild His Life and Escape the War

Hi, my name is Lorenzo Brown from Dallas, Texas, USA. I’m a former volunteer instructor with the Gaza Sky Geeks Program. I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my good friend and former student, Shadi Al Daya.

Since Shadi cannot open an international bank account, all proceeds will be sent directly to him via Western Union. I will provide full transparency and share transfer details for every dollar once the campaign ends.

Now, I’ll let Shadi share his story:

My Name is Shadi and This is My Life Now
I’m a 26-year-old software developer from Gaza. Before October 7, 2023, I had a normal life. I was hopeful, building my future with code, education, and ambition.

Then the war began.
Today marks 580 days of war And my life like thousands of others was turned to ash.

In the first days of the war :

-  My sister’s husband and their three children ( Abdulrahman, Abduljawad, and Layan ) were killed in an airstrike while they slept.
-  My mother, who suffers from severe osteoporosis, was left without medication or proper care.
-  We were displaced multiple times, living in tents without electricity, clean water, or food.
-  My father’s factory, our family’s only source of income, was destroyed.
- I lost my job, my home, my health and my peace of mind.

Now we are still in Gaza, facing famine, bombings, and fear. There is almost no food, no clean water, and the threat of a ground invasion grows closer each day.

If the situation gets worse and if the Rafah crossing reopens, we may have no choice but to flee for safety, But evacuation is extremely expensive, and we cannot afford it without help.

💔 I Also Lost Bono — My Closest Companion

During the war, I also lost my beloved cat " Bono ", He was my companion for 7 years more than just a pet, he was like a son to me. He died from trauma and shock during the bombings, It broke me.

Now " Liza " and her kittens including  " Remy " are struggling, They lack proper food and care, and I’m terrified of losing them too.
