The story of our father—his silent fight against pain, his unwavering dignity, and our plea for a chance to help him survive.
We are a Palestinian family from Gaza. We have lost everything—our home, our income, our safety.
But we still hold on to one thing: our dignity. In 2012, my father was just 22 years old when an airstrike hit.
The explosion shattered his spine, paralyzed one leg, and left him suffering from chronic, unbearable pain.
Since then, he has struggled with:-
Spinal injury in 2012 that caused paralysis in his leg and constant pain.
-
Neck infections since 2024, leading to chronic inflammation and severe pain.
-
Multiple failed surgeries that left him weaker and without hope.
Today, he can barely stand.
He cannot walk. He cannot work.
He lives in constant pain—but there’s still a chance for healing. He urgently needs two life-saving surgeries:
🔹 Spinal surgery to stabilize his vertebrae
🔹 Urinary tract reconstruction surgery, available only in EgyptBut his pain isn’t the only one in our family.
We have lost everything:
🏚️ Our home
🔧 My father’s small workshop
🔥 Even the tent we sought refuge in was bombed and burnedNow, we live in a crowded school building, with no food, no blankets, and no clothes.
And my younger siblings…
👧 Tasneem — a sweet girl who was injured in her leg and now needs
reconstructive surgery to walk normally again.
🧒 Adam — he suffered a severe hand injury and urgently needs surgery to repair his joint.
👶 Asser — the war baby, born under bombs, who has never known peace or safety. They sleep on cold floors, without mattresses, without food, and without warmth.
Among all we’ve lost… was Pico, our beloved white cat.
She was more than a pet—she was family.
She brought us comfort when everything else was cold.
She was killed in the bombing, and I miss her dearly every day.And we also have our grandmother, who is fighting against illness, hunger, and the effects of war.
Though physically weak, her spirit remains unbroken.
However, as she ages and endures constant suffering, life is becoming increasingly difficult for her. She, too, is in desperate need of help and hope.💔 Our father is a proud man. He never asked for help.
But the pain has broken his body—and we cannot watch him suffer in silence any longer. We are not asking for luxury.
We are asking for:-
Relief for our father’s pain
-
Surgery for Adam
-
Healing for Tasneem
-
Safety for Asser
-
A moment of peace and dignity after all this loss
